Do you ever feel overwhelmed, or that too much is never enough?  Do your kids?  Join us this month as we discuss "Learning Contentment", a valuable topic for us and them.  Let's make sure we really focus on this message as we enter into the Holiday season, where we are told we need more of everything.  We are blessed beyond compare with what we have, and should rejoice in it.  RSVP to let me know you plan to join us.

    Tue Dec 9, 2014 7:00 am

In December, we will be talking about "Seeing From a New Perspective".  Sometimes we all need to slow down, step back and evaluate differently.  This month's topic focuses on shifting our focus, and will be valuable for us, as well as our kids.  Looking forward to seeing you there, be sure to RSVP using the tab here.

    Tue Jan 13, 2015 7:00 am

So we got through the Christmas season.  Did we make a difference in anyone's life?  January is a time for fresh starts, so join us as we explore the topic of "Living a Life of Significance".  Going through the motions is never enough, and we need to not only model significance to our kids, but invlove them in living a life of significance as well.  RSVP to let me know you are joining us for this great topic!

    Tue Feb 10, 2015 7:00 am

What are your kids' gifts?  How do you encourage them to grow in them?  February's topic will be "Encouraging Creativity".  Too often, our kids don't have the opportunity to express their creativity.  Lean how to encourage it, and see where it can take your relationships.  Be sure to let me know if you are joining us with a quick RSVP.

    Tue Mar 10, 2015 7:00 am

Have you ever asked "Why me"?  Circumstances and events can be painful, but we will take time this month to discuss "Finding Purpose in the Pain" as those events arise in our lives.  This will be a great topic, and I look forward to seeing you there.  Don't forget to RSVP to tell me you are going to be in attendance.

    Tue Apr 21, 2015 7:00 am

How many times has your family felt overwhelmed, or like you have taken on too much?  What suffers in those times?  Join us as we talk about "Establishing Priorities", something we could all benefit in getting some tips, I'm sure.  Make your kids a priority by bringing them out for breakfast, and let me know you are joining us with an RSVP.

    Tue May 12, 2015 7:00 am

No matter your position at your place of employment, your most important job is that of "Dad", and it is one that you don't retire from.  The benefits are amazing, and the payoff of getting those hugs, smiles and "I love you" moments are more gratifying than you could have ever imagined.  We will celebrate "Being a Dad Forever" this month with a great video and time of discussion.  Hope to see you embracing this critical job, let me know how many to expect by clicking RSVP here.

Additional Info

  • Summer is in full swing.  Make sure you are making the most of your time with your kids.  Splash around with them in the pool, let them help with the cookout.  Read a book together.  Make it a point to show them they are a priority with your words, actions and time.

We have a great opportunity at the end of August to take part in the first All Pro Dad night with the Aberdeen IronBirds.  Join us on August 31 for a 5:35 game.  Tickets are $13.50 each.  It is dollar hot dog night, and there is a lunchbox promotion featuring a special edition IronBirds lunch box, just in time for back-to-school!  Let me know how many tickets you need as soon as possible, it promises to be a great night!

We are also collecting new coloring books and boxes of crayons to donate to a local children's hospital.  As the back to school supplies come out, you can find boxes of 25 Crayola crayons for $0.25, and coloring books can be found in the dollar section or the dollar store.  Please let me know if you have some you would like to donate.  I can collect them at any point in time.  Our goal is to donate them around Thanksgiving.  This is a wonderful way to have a positive impact on the lives of children who are going through unfortunate circumstances.

One hour, once a month. A small commitment with a huge reward.
