Can Your Kids Catch the Kindness Boomerang?

According to Discover Magazine, Oxford University scientists have found that a person’s math abilities can be improved by passing a mild electric current through their skull and into their brain.  The effect lasts about six months.  Not sure where the researchers got their test subjects (freshmen?), but we will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Don’t you wish, as a father, you had technology like that to pierce your children’s hearts to make them more compassionate?  So many kids are self-absorbed and seemingly without the ability to serve others.  But as this Kindness Boomerang video shows, being “others-centered” doesn’t have to be complicated.  It’s the simple, considerate actions that really add up.  And that starts with you leading and showing your kids what practical kindness looks like.  Here are 10 ways to teach your children to be compassionate.

 

Huddle up with your children tonight and ask them:  “Who is the most compassionate person you know?  Why?”
