Withstanding Trials

February 5th, 2010

The Lord tells us that while we’re here on this earth we will face trouble. It’s not about avoiding trials, it’s how we respond to these trials. Our response is what really matters.

How do you respond to trials in your life?

  1. Jim Robinson says:

Hi Tony, I just finished “Quiet Strenght”, thank you for your powerful life story and Christian witness – add me to the list of people that you have given strength to, and a fresh challenge. I lost my two sons, James (we called him Jamie) and Kevin in a drowning accident 33 years ago and have struggled with all the questions and feelings that you and others have and have found God in Christ to be my major resource, and as a semi-retired United Methodist pastor still try to help other people find such faith. Christ brings a “peace that passes understanding” in the midst of the difficult. Yesterday would have been my Jamie’s 47th birthday, he was almost 14 when he died – I missed him a lot yesterday, but your “Jamie” story came on my Jamie’s birthday to give comfort and encuragement and invited me to go forward as Jamie and God and Tony Dungy would want me to. Thanks again, I’ll be looking for the “Uncommon” next, believing that “I Can Do It”! Enjoy the Super Bowl with your preciious family.
