Jeff Fisher Fallout

It can be tough being a head coach in the NFL – for many reasons.  One of them is that everything you say or do comes under scrutiny.    Tennessee Titans Coach Jeff Fisher, recently had one of those scrutinizing experiences.

    I think what Jeff did just shows his spirit and love of the game. He is a PHENOMINAL coach and I too hope people will give him a break and realize that though times may be tough in Tennessee right now, he loves the TItans and he will do everythinghe is able to get their team back on track!

    I agree with Coach Dungy in giving coach Fisher a break on this one. The critics that are being so critical of him were not at this event and have no idea in what spirit this was done. This was a charity event that coach Fisher did on his own time away from football. Have a sense of humor folks and don’t be so quick to criticize someone without knowing the facts you are judging.

    Critics need to lighten up. Coach Fisher was helping people and showing a little self-deprecating humor. It’s not easy coaching a losing team. You feel the pressure and do everything you can to produce a win, but sometimes everything you have is not enough. Things happen beyond your control. He has had a winning record in the past, and he can achieve it again if people will be patient. It’s hard to keep your spirits up when you are doing your best, but all you get in return is criticism.

    Those people that were offended or upset with Jeff Fisher seriously need to reconsider what offends them and what
    upsets them.

    I agree that sports analysts and Titans fans (like myself) should not be offended by Fisher’s actions in helping Tony Dungy’s charity. Ultimately, I think he did that to send a message to his team. I’m sure this message has been said to each one of them directly and this movement at this charity event reinforces that message. It might have made some Titans players mad, but they are now mad in a good way–one that will drive them to win again and again for the rest of the season.
