If you wanted a real life example of success, you would need to look no further than Indianapolis Colts' wide receiver Qadry Ismail. In high school he was named "Track Athlete of the Year" and earned All American honors from Track and Field News. In his college career, Qadry was only one of eight players in NCAA history with over 2,000 career kickoff return yards. With the Baltimore Ravens, Qadry was the "go-to" wide receiver and was an integral player in the Ravens' Super Bowl championship.By society's standards, Qadry is the epitome of achievement. But if you ask Qadry what he measures success by, it would be his role as a husband and a father before his position as a professional athlete. Marrying his wife Holly was a life changing event. "Getting married was the significant experience for me," says Qadry. "I couldn't be a half-hearted husband." Keeping up with his 3 children has also been quite a task for this speedster. "I adore my kids," Qadry says. "They are truly gifts from God and I desire to be the best dad I can be."Qadry is heavily involved in children's lives throughout his community. He has worked with D.A.R.E and spoken at many schools encouraging children to set and maintain high standards for themselves. But Qadry's main time commitment is his family. And while catching passes in the Super Bowl is thrilling, nothing compares to being a loving husband and devoted father. Qadry retired from the NFL in 2006.
