I thank God each and every day for the men and women who are fighting for our freedom and to keep us safe. I know if they were not in Iraq fighting to stop terrorism; my beautiful family, especially, my neices may not be here and able to enjoy the life we do! Thank you so much and God Bless all of you and your families.

I know EXACTLY how that little boy feels! I don't have any kids but my twin (5 minutes older than me) brother SSG Robert Mathis of the Rakkasans was seriously injured 6 weeks after the war started. When I saw him being pushed into Blanchfield Hospital on base the emotions were so strong I could barely breath. It was hard to see him in so much pain but at the same time I was so greatful to God for sparing his life. My brother saw God's grace and went from being saved just in case he was killed to a Chaplins Assistant. He now serves in Gods Army and is ministring to fellow wounded warriors. Please pray for him. I believe the mental side to war is sometime more difficult than the physical.

After 4 years in Korea, my son will be coming home soon for the first time since he was deployed. He has reinlisted. We will share about thirty days with him before he heads to his new post. I CAN"T WAIT!!!! It looks as though he'll be deployed to Afganistan. I was worried about how he would do, becoming an adult in todays world. Truth is, my son has become more of a man than I will ever be. My hat is off to each of the men and women that serve for our freedom. God bless.

Very touching video. I have a brother in-law who had spent many deployments on a nuclear sub being away for months at a time from his two chiddren and wife. The video so illustrates the sacrifices that the families of our military make each day. I thank God for all of the each day. As a firefighter I am only away from my children for 24 hours on each of my shift days. But at least they can come and visit me at the station, unlike the children of our military. Thank you to my brother in-law Tim and all those in the military who sacrifice much.

I've seen this video before, but it's touching still. I'm here in Iraq in the military almost done with my tour. I'm looking forward to seeing my daughter and spending time with her. Our children do sometimes get overlooked as far as dealing with deployments, but they are just as important, if not more. They don't always understand the importance of what their parents do, and it can be very difficult for them. I am very proud of my 'little girl' that she did well in school last year and is doing well so far this year. Military parents (myself included) need to insure we encourage our children, take time to spend with them.and tell them how much we love them.

What a heart warming video. My dad was a WWII veteran. He taught our family about sacrifice and love of country. He is gone now but his service and devotion to America will live on through his children. Thank you all who serve our nation.

As a proud brother in law of a marine who came home earlier this year to his son it reminds us of what sacrafice is! As we continue to send our loved ones in harms way to protect the good of the people we should head the call of our lord and savior and become servants to our fellow man. We never know how we can help or impact someones life. We could serve thier families in several ways that are easy and more rewarding than any paycheck. Volunteer in your comunity and we can all make this world a better place. God bless our troops and country.

The love of the father. I cannot stop watching this clip watching the son's heart explode. It is to pure for patriotism. This clip should never be politicized. This child has missed his father, and is the most lovely thing i can recall. May God bless this man to continue to love his son, and may his son realize one day "the love of the Father."

As was said before, the little boys reaction says it all. We go about our day-to-day activities and forget that there are men and women fighting for our freedom and leaving their families behind. My dad is still with us a WWII Marine and I appreciate him more and more each day for serving our country. Semper Fi

The video really touched my heart and is a solemn reminder of the extreme sacrifices being made by our men and women in uniform and the impact it is having on their families, especially the young children. God Bless and protect our troops and families for their service to our Nation and the freedom we so often take for granted.

Heavenly Father, We're so blind to all the affects of war. Please forgive us for being so selfish and ignorant of what's going on in our world. Protect our people who are in the middle of war from our enemies and from the weather. Meet their (material, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual) needs, and the needs of their families. Give each of them an extra bit of wisdom, courage, strength, and hope. We especially ask You to protect the children of our people serving in the armed forces from the evils of this world. Amen. Thanks for praying with me.

Our military not only helps those of other countries try to grasp the freedoms we have here in America; but also, ensure that we continue to experience that same freedom here in America.
