Joe Gibbs

Joe Gibbs

Joe Gibbs not only is a successful NFL coach and NASCAR team owner, but is also an outstanding husband and father. He has been married to his wife Pat for 38 years and is father of two boys – J.D. and Coy. While coaching the Washington Redskins, Gibbs won three Super Bowl championships and was also inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1996. His glory on the football field did come at a price: he had neglected his family and instead put all his energy towards coaching. However, realizing his mistake and desiring to be an All Pro Dad, he left his job at the height of his career to spend more time with his wife and children. He established a NASCAR team where he could work alongside his son J.D. Having established closer ties with his family, Joe returned to coach the Redskins for a while before retiring. His other son, Coy, has joined his father on the Redskins coaching staff. Joe has proved over time that not only is he a great coach, but a great father as well.
