Mark Brunell

Mark Brunell

Retired Washington Redskins quarterback Mark Brunell became a father on May 17, 1992 when his daughter Caitlin was born to him and his wife Stacy. Since then they have had three boys: Jacob, Joseph, and Luke. Mark’s father Dave Brunell modeled the encouragement and support Mark incorporates into his parenting. Mark supports his children at their baseball games, dance recitals, and karate competitions, but he also loves to just hang out with the children and play. He says that being a dad is one of the greatest gifts that God has given him. In 1997, the Brunells were motivated to establish The Brunell Family Foundation, a foundation to benefit critically ill children and their families, after their son Jacob became very sick with a respiratory infection. His children will tell you that they have the greatest daddy in the whole world. Guess that’s why he’s an All Pro Dad!

“Every child is looking for a place in this world,” he said. “Unless they have a dad to define that place in this world, they are gong to go off in all kinds of different directions.”

(Being a dad) is my greatest job and my greatest joy.
