I recently purchased a house that needed new countertops. My wife suggested we do concrete. I had no idea how hard or messy the job would be. I looked like a chimney sweep by the time I returned the mixer to the tool rental place. Everyone kept looking at me wide-eyed probably wondering what coal mine I had just crawled through. The biggest surprise from the project though was how excited my kids were about it. My son even said, “I’ve been waiting for weeks for this to happen.” He wanted to help, but unfortunately, this was a project for the adults.
