Every Child, Every School, Every Family First

A day after returning from New York and our NBC announcement, I was back on the road-this  time for a program with Family First. We visited Jacksonville in the morning and Miami in the afternoon to launch a campaign in Florida called Every Child, Every School, Every Family First. It is being done in conjunction with AAA Auto Club South, the Florida Driver License Bureau, and the National PTA.

Florida drivers who renew their licenses can check off a box to donate one dollar to Family First.  And, with the help of Tyndale House and Simon and Schuster, we are able to give copies of Quiet Strength and You Can Do It! for donations of  $10 or more. The money raised will go to start more All Pro Dad’s Day chapters at public schools across the state.

The response has been great so far; in the first 3 days we have seen more than 20,000 dollars donated.  I want to continue to get the word out and say thanks to our partners at AAA and the driver license branches.

And, with the help of the efficiency of air travel, we were able to leave Tampa at 8:15, go to Jacksonville for the morning, go to Miami, and get back home just in time for me to pick up my daughter Jade from her ballet lesson!
