How Do You Want To Be Remembered As A Husband?

Lauren and I have been married for almost thirty-four years now. Over that time we have created a lot of memories. We have supported and encouraged one another. Sometimes that has been easy, while other times it has been a choice. Plenty of our marriage has been spent working out our differences, but in the end, we believe it has made our marriage stronger. When people ask, “How do you want to be remembered as a husband?” There are a couple of things that come to mind. Certainly, I want to love my wife, I want her to be happy, and I want to provide her with the things she really desires. However, there is one thing that I want to be remembered for more than those.

A husband who brought out the best in his wife.

I want to see her bloom and become the best version of her. That is something that has given me great pleasure over the course of our marriage. When people say to me, “You have a lovely wife. She is really awesome at…” or “We’ve seen your wife doing…she’s amazing.” When I sharpen and encourage my wife to the point where people see her at her best I feel like I am doing my duty as a husband.
