Tyndale House Publishers, who published all of my books, came to me and asked me if I would like to write a commentary on a topic for the Every Man’s Bible. I chose integrity because that was so important to my parents and they drilled that into us. As I wrote and shared on my blog several months ago, integrity is not determined by your past or your position in life. It is determined by a decision to be a person of integrity or not.
Recently I sat down with Family First President, Co-All Pro Dad founder, and good friend Mark Merrill on his podcast to discuss the subject of integrity. On this podcast, I expound on the subject and importance of having integrity.
Discussion Recap
You either have integrity or you don’t.
- You have to make decisions before something difficult in your life happens. Look to the Bible.
- Control your emotions, or they will control you. Emotions are real. God has created us so we CAN control our emotions.
- Be a good example to your kids. Pray for them.
- Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and even slower to anger.
