Anthony Munoz

Anthony Munoz

To understand what Anthony Munoz is all about, you need only look in one place. No, not the NFL Hall of Fame where he was inducted in 1998, nor Cincinnati where Anthony played for the Bengals for 13 years. To truly understand Anthony Munoz you need to look into his heart, where you will find what matters to him most: his faith and his family. Anthony never realized how important a father is in children’s lives until he and his wife DeDe had their own children, Michael and Michelle. In high school, Anthony was a multi-sport standout. At the University of Southern California he was a football All-American and a member of the 1978 National Championship Team. His football success continued after he was drafted in the first round by the Cincinnati Bengals in 1980. His career with the Bengals landed him on the Pro Bowl team 11 years in a row. Then, he was given the ultimate honor, induction into the NFL Hall of Fame. The day of the ceremony Anthony’s son Michael gave the induction speech for his dad. He said, “You’ve taught me to let my actions speak louder than my words and to make people more important than things.” That’s who Anthony Munoz is all about, and it is why he is a member of the All Pro Dad Team.
