David Akers

David Akers is known as a record-breaking placekicker in the NFL. While playing for the San Francisco 49ers, he was tied for the longest field goal in NFL history. David loves his wife of 18 years and his three kids, Luke, Halley, and Sawyer.

David Akers was selected for the Pro Bowl six times in his career and at one point tied for the longest field goal in NFL history. Akers has been married to his wife, Erika, for 18 years. They have two sons, Luke (13) and Sawyer (7), and daughter Halley (11).

David says the greatest responsibility of being an All Pro Dad is working to “stay present” and giving your children both “quality and quantity time to build the foundation of love.” When it comes to marriage, he advises, “love and respect each other” and make sure to “be compassionate, especially with parenting your kids together.”

Along with spending time with his wife and kids, David formed the David Akers Kicks for Kids Foundation in 2001 to benefit sick children and their families; this cause was especially dear to the Akers family after enduring daughter Halley’s recent sickness.
