Even though my mom’s dad passed away when I was very young I learned a very valuable lesson from him. My dad’s dad had a great impact on me as well…
What’s a great memory you have of your grandfathers?
Tony

Once again thanks for sharing, coach. I have many good memories of my grandfathers. I remember going to my first baseball game at Cominski Park in Chicago with my father’s father to see the White Sox vs the Rangers. The Chi-Sox continue to be my favorite American League team. My mother’s father taught me how to fish. I never liked eating fish but enjoyed many wonderful days along various rivers with him. But the one thing that stands out with both men was how forgiving they were.
As a child I did many things that were wrong and a few that hurt my grandfathers’ feelings. They both forgave and loved me unconditionally. This has become a model for me in dealing with others.
Lots of good memories! Going to the San Diego Zoo and G’pa handing me fifty cents before we left is one.
Sorry to go off topic, but I have tried tweeting and various things to find an answer and come up blank. I am wondering when the Papa John’s AllProPapa contest will end and winner will be announced. I can’t find the info anywhere…. I’m leaving my email in case you can help. Thank you!
