When you want to bond with your kids, there’s nothing like doing a fun activity together. During the pandemic, I took a long bike ride with one of my sons. It was one of those moments I think we’ll both remember for a long time.
We all have our go-to fun activities that we enjoy with our kids. Here are 3 of mine.
1. Doing What the Kids Like to Do
Kids are normally excited to do anything with their dads. But when it’s something they love, it makes it even more special. I try to pay attention to what my kids love doing and then do it with them. Or I’ll ask them what they want to do. It makes them feel seen.
2. Being Outdoors
I love getting outdoors with my kids. The bike ride I took with my son is a great example. But anything active outside, whether it’s as simple as going to the park or just playing ball with them, is enjoyable.
3. Being Out on the Water
One of the things I used to love to do with my older kids is fish. Unfortunately, our family schedule doesn’t allow it too much these days. I’m traveling with work and the kids have their sports schedule. But having days out on the water was something I really cherished.
