Michael Vick just signed a long term contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. It has been an amazing turnaround for him in the last two and a half years. But, through hard work and the help of the Eagles organization, Michael has been able to make the most of this opportunity.
I am very proud of him because he has done exactly what he said he would do–work hard on the field and try to be a positive addition to the Philadelphia community off the field. Hopefully this can serve as an example to everyone, but especially to young people, that you don’t have to be defined by your past and that you can bounce back from mistakes.
Congratulations Mike, and I’m looking forward to watching you continue to be a leader in Philadelphia, both on and off the field.
