Former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy laughed off speculation that he was on the Notre Dame coaching candidate list by replying, “Is there anything less than a zero percent chance of that happening?”

Dungy said he and Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick were named to the Super Bowl host committee for 2012 but that there have been no overtures made about the Fighting Irish coaching job.

“My goodness, from what I hear, colleges coaches work twice as hard as pro coaches on a year-round basis so there’s no way I would even consider that,” said Dungy. “The further I get away from coaching, the more I know I made the right decision. You almost forget how wonderful family life is.

“I’d say about the only coaching I’d ever consider is maybe if one of my younger kids played Pee Wee football … wait, better not use that. I may have the Pee Wee leagues calling me now.”
