Jon Kitna

Jon Kitna

Though Jon Kitna is known as one of the Dallas Cowboys’ most successful quarterbacks, his greatest commitment is to his family, not football. Jon and his wife Jennifer have three biological children, Jordan, Jalen and Jada, and they are also the legal guardians of two teenage cousins, Chris and Casey. Proverbs 22:6 helps Jon focus on steering his kids in the right direction: “Train a child in the way they should go, and when they are older they will not turn from it.” Kitna loves seeing this verse at work in his kids’ lives, adding: “You’re training them or teaching them, and sometimes you feel like they’re not listening or it’s not getting through. But then you’ll see a couple months later that they’ll catch hold of it. It just reinforces that you should be consistent.” In addition to being involved with All Pro Dad, the couple started the Jon and Jennifer Kitna Eternal Blessings Foundation in 2001. The foundation is a Christian-based ministry at Remann Hall in Tacoma, Washington that ministers to teenagers. Jon avidly recruits NFL teammates to join him in spending time with the teenagers involved with the foundation. Jon is a playmaker on the field and in his community, but more importantly as a husband and father.
