During the football season, we celebrate two great holidays in Thanksgiving and Christmas. When spring arrives we look forward to Mother’s and Father’s Day. Then the summer brings the Fourth of July. However, one holiday in the spring sometimes gets lost in the shuffle. Here are my thoughts on the importance of Easter.
Mission Fulfilled
Easter is the time when the Lord Jesus fulfilled his mission. He came to earth to be a role model for us, to point the way towards how to live life to the fullest. However, ultimately He came to be the sacrifice for our sins. Good Friday He was crucified. Easter Sunday He rose and was resurrected.
Never Forget
That is the reason we, as Christians, can celebrate. So Easter, even though sometimes it gets forgotten in that holiday season, is one we should never forget.
