Doug Pederson
Doug Pederson’s career in the NFL is a story of overcoming adversity. As a player, he was cut six different times and played on several practice squads. However, he caught on mainly as a backup quarterback for over a decade. After his playing career ended, he started coaching, first at the high school level and then making the jump to the NFL as an assistant. He would eventually become the head coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, earning the franchise’s first Lombardi trophy with a victory in Super Bowl LII against the New England Patriots. Pederson and his wife, Jeannie, have been married since 1992 and have three grown sons and one grandchild. A committed Christian, Doug’s favorite verse is Philippians 4:13, which says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
