Today I’m headed to Minnesota for our annual NFL Coaches Retreat. We have a group of Christian coaches who get together every year to fellowship and talk about ways to be more effective in coaching our players and communicating the gospel during the upcoming season.
There’s also a friendly, little fishing competition over the weekend!
This year we have about 15 coaches coming! Even though I’m retired and no longer coaching, they still allow me to come and I’m grateful for that. It’s always a fun time but it helps the guys get focused for the upcoming season. Most of them will be headed back to work and to training camp in the next 3 weeks. This is our 10th year doing this and many of the guys have been to every one. I look forward to it every year!
