Joe Gibbs not only is a successful NFL coach and NASCAR team owner, but is also an outstanding husband and father. He has been married to his wife Pat for 38 years and is father of two boys - J.D. and Coy. While coaching the Washington Redskins, Gibbs won three Super Bowl championships and was also inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1996. His glory on the football field came at a price though. He felt that he had neglected his family and instead put all his energy towards coaching. Being an All Pro Dad, he left his job in 1993 at the height of his career to spend more time with his wife and children. He established a NASCAR team where he could work along side his son J.D.; and says that J.D. was the main reason he got involved in NASCAR. Joe has now returned to coach the Redskins once again. His other son, Coy, has joined his father on the Redskins coaching staff. Joe has proved over time that not only is he a great coach, but a championship father as well.
