The Summer Glow Idea for Kids

Good morning dads.  Summer has arrived and your kids are home from school.  Many suffer from increasing boredom.  We are here to give you activities to fill the summer with action.  Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make this the best summer ever for your kids by carrying out these activities.  Good luck dads.

As the daylight fades, the bright light is replaced by a beautiful ball of amber.  It descends on the horizon causing the entire sky to give off the soft glow of a flame.  You can’t take your eyes off of it.  Finally, the darkness takes over and the sky is filled with stars.  The summer glow doesn’t have to end with the arrival of nighttime.  In fact, it’s just getting started.  Here are three easy kid-friendly activities to keep The Summer Glow going.

1. Bowling

Take 10 empty plastic soda bottles and place glow sticks in them.  Set them up like bowling pins in the driveway.  Use glow necklaces to line a bowling alley.  When the sun sets, grab a basketball and bowl a frame.  Order Glow Sticks here or buy them at your local superstore.

2. Frisbee Golf

Use light up Frisbees and set up glow sticks at various trees as the holes in your backyard or a park.  Try using different colors for each hole.  Set up as many holes as you like.  You can use either large LED Frisbees or small LED Frisbees.

3. Dance Party

Celebrate the summer and life by giving your kids the opportunity to dance.  Give them Glow Sticks, Bracelets, and Necklaces.  Turn off the lights and crank up some good music.  If you don’t dance, then take control of the DJ responsibilities.
