We’re in Dallas for a few book signings and the Super Bowl. We’re struggling with the weather as everyone else has been. A lot of fun things going are on but just a lot of travel time between venues because of snow and ice.
There is a story behind this picture, which was taken at a book signing at Costco in Plano, TX yesterday.
The gentleman in the picture with Lauren and me is Sir Earl Toon. He wrote the song “Celebration” for Kool and the Gang. He told us he was really proud when it was played after our Super Bowl win against Chicago as that was just the type of positive moment he was hoping to celebrate when writing it. It was a neat moment for us.
The book promotion has gone well, even though we had to reschedule some events due to the weather. Fortunately, most of the fans from Pittsburgh and Green Bay know how to handle the snow!
